Alonnisos sits at the start of the National Marine Park, the biggest protected sea area in Europe. North of it are islands with no permanent population and anchorages where you will be the only boat.
The monk seals are the reason the park exists. Seeing one is luck, not a schedule, and we will not pretend otherwise.
