About this cruise
Two days and one night on a sailing yacht in the Toroneos gulf. You sleep in a cove with no road down to it and swim before anyone else is up.
The loud part of Halkidiki is on the beaches. The quiet part is on the water, in the bays between Kassandra and Sithonia where no car gets down. A day trip visits them for an hour. This one stays the night.
You board at Porto Carras or at Paliouri, whichever is closer to where you are staying, and the price is the same from both. There is no fixed route. The skipper reads the wind and the sea that morning and takes you where the water is calmest and clearest. That can be a cove on the Sithonia side, or a village like Porto Koufo, the deepest natural harbour in Greece, closed in by rock on almost every side.
The night is the reason to come. No music from the beach bars, no traffic, only the anchor chain and the water. In the morning you swim off the stern while the beaches are still empty. It suits couples, families and small groups of friends: up to 6 people on a boat with three cabins, 8 on one with four, from 1.420 € for the boat.

The pier sits below Chrousso beach, at the south end of Kassandra. Park on the road above and walk down. Around an hour and a half from Thessaloniki.

Cancellation policy
- A 30% deposit confirms your booking.
- Cancel more than 21 days before departure: no charge.
- Between 21 and 7 days: 50% of the deposit.
- Within 7 days: the full deposit.
Questions we get asked
Where do we sleep?
On the boat, two to a cabin. Three cabins sleep 6 and four sleep 8, depending on the boat. Bed linen is on board and the cleaning at the end is included.
Where will we actually go?
Somewhere inside the Toroneos gulf, between Kassandra and Sithonia. The skipper chooses in the morning, by the wind and the sea, so you end up in the calmest water of that day. Porto Koufo is one example, not a promise.
What about food?
Light snacks are on board. For meals, bring your own and cook in the galley, or eat at a taverna when we are near a village. Meals are not included, and neither are the skipper’s.
Does it cost more from Paliouri?
No. Porto Carras and Paliouri cost the same. Pick the one closer to where you are staying.
We have never slept on a boat. Is this a good start?
It is the easiest way to find out. One night, a sheltered cove, and back the next day. If you like it, the week in the Sporades is the next step.
