In the end of Sithonia peninsula, one of the safest natural ports in the world awaits to offer you anchorage! It’s name “Koufo” (Deaf in greek) declares the absence of any sound inside the port no matter how furious is the sea outside. Because of its position and impressive depth of more than 1000m just outside of the entrance, it used to work as a shelter for submarines during WWII.

Today, there is a small village with many fishermen who offer a delicious variety of fresh fish food in every tavern you will find! The old port can host a number of sailing yachts and offers them a safe and calm shelter for the night.
